Right in the middle of the north bank of the Moon Pond, Lexu Hall(Hearty Talk Hall) was built at the beginning of the 15th Century as an ancestral hall for the Wang's.
The original front arch over the gateway basically has survived; the girder is of distinct Ming style; components such as the lune girder, are all exquisitely sculpted, and endowed with lofty artistic feeling. Lexu Hall(Hearty Talk Hall) and the Moon Pond together constitutes “The Moon Pond & The Lotus In The Wind”, one of the eight scenes in Hongcun Village. |
