Mountain Zu

    Jun Qing, a famous contemporary writer composed two lines of verse “Not saying 5 Great Mountains are so great. Not climbing up this mountain is your regret”. This was his sigh of emotion after he had toured Mountain Zu, 40 kilometers northwest of Qinhuangdao. Mountain Zu is well worth seeing if traveler are in Qinhuangdao.
    Mountain Zu enjoys natural scenery with a high mountain and clearwater. All the ranges and peaks north of the Bohai Sea and east of Mountain are its branches. Thus it is called Father of Mountains. Mr. Zang Kejia, a famous poet, appraised it with “The scenery only exists in picture and poem”.
    Tiannu Peak, the highest peak in Mountain Zu, is 1,424 meters above sea level. When traveler climb up this peak, the Sunrise in the east, sails in the south, the Great Wall in the west and mountains in the north will come into view.
