This tablet was carved and erected in 744 A.D., in the Tang Dynasty. It weighs 80 tons, 9.02 meters high, 2.04 meters wide and 1.05 meters thick. The description on the tablet is about Sun Taichong, a Taoist priest, healing Emperor Xuanzong in the Tang Dynasty. The story was composed by Li Linfu and the calligrapher was Xu Hao. It is of great value in history, science and art. |
