Shaoshan

    Shaoshan is the hometown of Mao Zedong, located 30 kilometers west of Xiangtan City and covers an area of 70 square kilometers, near Changsha City.
    Surrounded by hills with dense verdant forest, it has sights like Stone House with Blowing Breeze, Gate-form Meteorolite, Yanzhi Old Well, Aqueduct Bridge across the Milky Way, Water-Dripping Cave, and so on.
    Shaoshan has many scenic spots concerning Mao Zedong himself and his revolutionary life, mainly including Site of Peasant's Night School that was founded in 1925, Site of Surveying the Peasant's Movement of Xiangtan in 1927, Former Residency of Mao Zedong and Commemorative Park of Mao Zedong.
