Mountain Changbai

Mountain Changbai stretches across Antu County, Fusong County, and Changbai County, which are both near Yanji City, adjoins Korea in the south and southeast. Its main peak is 2,691m above the sea level, and there are 16 peaks whose altitudes are more than 2,500m above the sea level. Mountain Changbai is the cradle of the Manchu Minority. In the Qing Dynasty, it was designated as a Holy Region.
Mountain Changbai's scenery is charmingly beautiful and attractive. It is the first mountain in northeast China, and is as beautiful as the Five Great Mountains in China. Its main peak Baitou Peak, otherwise name White Head Peak, is covered with white pumice and snow, hence its name Mountain Changbai. In mountainous areas, climates vary a lot. This is just the case for Mountain Changbai. From the foot of the mountain to the top, the climate accordingly ranges from warm belt to cold betl, forming four different scenery belts. The saying has it that different part of a mountain is in a different season, and one experiences the change of weather every 5km. Mountain Changbai is a typical nature syntheses in the world.
