The Ganlu Temple is located in the middle way of north Mountain Jiuhua. It is said that the night before when the construction was to began, all the pine neesles were covered with shining dew. Rumourhad it that a Boddhisattva appeared and made the dew. Therefore a memorial was presented to the emperor and it was named Ganlu, which means sweet dew. The temple is constructed to the landscpe and it is pleasingly asymmetrical. The interior is beautifully carved, glorious and serious. The curing path in it is profound. Outside, there are slender bamboo growing beautifully and brooks splashing happily. Along two sides of the road before the temple are stone made railings at which enable one to lock far away in the shadow of old trees. Ganlu Temple is the piont where the climate becomes different between the top and the foot of the mountain. Sometimes, the top is heavily cast with cloud and mist whereas the foot is clear. Sometimes the food is thundering and lighting, the sun shines radiantly on the top. In the middle of autumn, a few maples in the temple and the maple forest forms a charming contrast, they look like sunset clouds which is magnificiently beautiful. |
