Grand Mosque is the earliest and biggest mosque in Hohhot and covers 4,000 square meters.
With its back facing to east and front to west, its hierurgical temple faces the direction of the holy land Mekka. On upside of the gate, there are temple's Arabic name and its various decorative patterns. At the back of the hall, there are the schoolroom, Muslim bathroom and other architectures. Furthermore, the mosque collects 30 volumes of Alcoran written in Arabic, which are precious religious literatures. |
