| | Mountain Yangtai [edit this] | | Mountain Yangtai is located in Bao'an District with its main peak measuring 587.3 meters tall, blessed with plentiful rain and the agreeable climate, representing the headstream of the main streams and rivers of Shenzhen which is abundantly surrounded with the luxuriant trees and flowers with many different wildlife animals running along. At the foot of Mountain Yangtai is the residential area of Hakka people. During the Anti-Japanese War, Mountain Yangtai Guerilla saved the lives of several hundred Chinese and overseas cultural figures and patriotic democratic personages, particularly Mao Dun, Zou Taofen, He Xiangning, etc., and transferred them to safety and concealment in Mountain Yangtai District, thus Mountain Yangtai is well reputed as “Mountain of Heroes”. | Edit by: Tom | |
| Mountain Luofu Scenic Area [edit this] | | Located at 45 kilometers northwest of Huizhou City, near Shenzhen City, Mountain Luofu Scenic Area is also called “Mountain DongQiao”.
As a famous Taoist mountain, Mountain Luofu is regarded as the 7th cave and the 32nd lucky land by Taoists. In addition, it is regarded as “the 1st Mountain south of the Five Ridges”, typical of majestic fantastic appearance, beautiful scenery, and strange stones and peaks. The over 400 ridges and peaks of Mountain Luofu are of different shapes; some look like beautiful girls, and others like an arhat, a lion, a camel, etc. It is indeed that “all stones on the mountain are peculiar” and “all peaks have fantastic scenes”. The main peak Fly Away Peak, otherwise known as Flying Clouds Peak, is 1,296 meters high, with its name due to the flying color clouds over it. | Edit by: Tom | |
| Mountain Maluan Natural Park [edit this] | | Mountain Maluan Natural Park is located in Longgang District of Shenzhen, connecting with Sanzhou Tian Reservoir in Yantian District in the west, reaching Kuiyong Town in the east and abutting to the golden coast in the east of Shenzhen in the south, with the total area of 28km2. It is one of the rare beautiful mountain forests close to the downtown and keeping the original state. Most of mountains in the park is less than 500m above sea level with moderate gradient and thus become the suitable place for hiking and camping. As the proverbs says “Mountains won't be beautiful if no water, won't be serene if no brooks and won't be powerful if no waterfalls”, the park is characterized by numerous brooks and waterfalls.

| Lotus Hill Park [edit this] | | This 166-hectare public park, fully forested, is an ideal place for family fun in the heart of the city. The focal point of the park is a viewing square at the top of the Lotus Hill, which got its name from its shape (like a lotus). The square commands decent vistas of Shenzhen and highlights a statue of late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, who inspired the creation of the city. Below the hill are a lawn for kite flying and a lake for fishing.

| Lotus Hill [edit this] | | Even in ancient times, Lotus Hill got a Holy Name and was well reputed for its natural beauty and purity. Lotus Hill is located in the north side of the downtown area of Shenzhen City and derives such a name for its similarity to the lotus in shape. Lotus Hill covers a total area of 166 hectares, offering the largest expanse of public green space in the urban center. Lotus Hill is actually one of the most important municipal parks with abundant landscape and scenes with elegant and magnificent hills and waters around.
