Huang Clan Dwelling Complex

Built in the first year of the Kangxi Regime, during the Qing Dynasty, the Huang Clan Dwelling House has a history of more than 300 years. Covering about 3,300 square meters, this complex has 118 large and small rooms, laid out from northwest to southeast. A Hall for worshipping, reception room, and kitchens are available. It is the best-preserved Qing architecture in Nanning, whose bricks and tiles and beams are still solid and the sculptures and paintings on the eaves and walls are still clearly recognizable. The reflected features of Qing architecture are of high value.

Address: On the southern Zhongyao Road, Nanning City, about 800 meters from the second bridge of the Yongjiang River.

Guangxi Nature Museum

Situated along the White Dragon Lake in People's Park on Renmin Road of Nanning, lying along the beautiful White Dragon (Bailong) Lake, built in red clay, shadowed by green trees, Guangxi Nature Museum, which was composed of three rooms, is a wonderful place to be visited and spend your spare time.

Guangxi Science Park of Sub-tropical Plants

Located at 22 Yongwu Lu of Nanning City and about nine kilometers from downtown, Guangxi Science Park of Sub-tropical Plants is a good place for the sightseeing of sub-tropical plants, popularizing scientific knowledge of plants, recreation and holidays. The park has introduced in more than 1,500 varieties with names and control numbers of tropical and sub-tropical crops, such as miracle fruit, litchi, longan, mango, egg fruit, carambola, wampee, guava, wax apple, loquat, etc. The main scenic spots in the park include centers for palm trees, famous fruits, Australian nuts, melons and chestnuts, metasequoia, and so on.

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum was initially built in 1934 and rebuilt in 1956. In 1958, it was given the current name. In 1978, the display building was completed on the eastern side of Minzu Square, Nanning, and then in 1988, Guangxi Minorities Cultural Relics Center was opened. The museum covers an area of more than 40,000 square meters and is a provincial museum, offering insights into the general history of the various ethnic groups in Guangxi.

Guangxi Medicinal Botanical Garden

Guangxi Medicinal Botanical Garden stands on an area of two million m2. in the east suburbs., at No.189, Changgang Lu. It is a comprehensive garden which serves the following the purposes: touring, teaching, and production. It is one of the biggest medicinal botanical gardens in China with a total plantation of over 2,100 varieties of plants. The garden is divided into seven zones: the Guangxi special herbs zone, medical therapy zone, shade plant zone, woody plant zone, herb zone, vine zone, and animals for medical use zone. The garden has a wide range of collections from southern medicinal herbs to northern ones, special local herbs as well as herbs outside Guangxi and China. It is a good place to relax and study.
