| Beiquan Temple [edit this] | | Beiquan Temple lies 10km far away from the northwest of Queshan County. First built in Northern Qi Dynasty, 1,400 years old from today. It was first named Shufo Temple, renamed Zifu Buddhist Temple in Tang Dynasty. Then obliged Wanshou Buddhist Temple in Song Dynasty of the emperor Huizong. It's one of the famousest temple in Southern He'nan.
There has a cypress of Tang Dynasty, also has a 1000-year-old gingkgo. Though it has undergoed thunder bolt and trunk is hollow, It's still flourishing. Because of its huge trunk, it needs several people to hold. There is a Divinatory Symbols Pond, never drying up. Lugong Memorial Temple is also in it, for the sake of memoring Yan Zhenqing, a famous calligrapher of Tang Dynasty killed by a traitor-Li Xilie, died under the gingkogo. | Edit by: Tom | |
