In 1967, Qiqihar City People's Commission was cancelled and Qiqihar Revolutionary Committee was established.
In 1980, Qiqihar Revolutionary Committee was changed into Qiqihar Municipal People's Government.
In 1985, Nenjiang Area Administrative Office was combined with Qiqihar City, and the system of city administering county was resumed again and Qiqihar City was still a city directly administered by Province.
