Quite a few of high buildings are on the opposite and on both sides, however, for their low situation which makes Xuandu Guan top in the clouds and trees seeing by far. | Yehou College [edit this] | | Yehou College, located at the middle of Yanxia Peak, is the only exist one among the 17 colleges of Mountain Hengshan. It is established in Qing Dynasty.
Yehou College was at the foot of Yanxia Peak, where is room of Limi in Tang Dynasty when he lived a monistic life. Just because of the secluding, Yehou College was removed to a flat place, which is at left of Yanxia Peak and side of Shoufo Temple. That is the current address and the name is still Yehou College. Now this college is divided into five rooms without reserved books, no historic data for reference. | Nantai Temple [edit this] | | Two li far away from Fuyan Temple, Nantai Temple is located in the foothill of Mountain Ruiying, for his famous name “original place of law in the world”. It is built in the Tianjian, Liang Dynasty. Originally it is the place for Monk Haiyin for his religious activity. Behind the temple, a large stone as desk is in the left of Nanshan Rock. It is said that Monk Haiyin usually priests in this large stone, so it is called “Nantai”. It now clearly can be seen three Chinese characters “Nantai Shi” with each character more than two feet at the side of the stone. Two lines of small characters are engraved on the stone, in the left side of the stone, it is engraved “Liang tian jian nian jian”, in the right side of the stone, it is engraved “Sha men hai yin”. The temple is a key provincial cultural relic preservation unit.
Nantai Temple is well-known in the world. Buddhists all over the world worship it very much, because it is not only a ancient temple with very long history, but also a famous hierarch-Stone Xiqian Buddhist monk came from that temple in the Five Era, at the end of Tang Dynasty. He was an important person of Qingyuan Sect-one sect of Nanzong Sects.
Nantai Temple is surrounded by green trees, with ancient and luxuriant trees. There is a forest of a stretch of deciduous China firs in front of the temple, named by metasequoia forest. The tree is up to more than 20 meters, up to the sky, with feather-like conifer leafs, setting up shadow whirlingly. | Edit by: Joanna | |

| Mazu Nunnery [edit this] | | Mazu Nunnery is a place for B uddhist Huanrang to pass on the doctrine to Mazu Daoyi, therefore it is also named as “the missionary courtyard”.
Before the establishment of new China, there were a lot of personal villas in this area. Presently it is reconstructed into the “Southern Mountain Hotel”. In the surrounding area, there are seven buildings with the room for reception; the missionary courtyard is rebuilt into the reception room. On the left in front of the nunnery, there is a cliff, on which engraved two Chinese characters “Zuyuan (the origin of ancestor)”, the stone inscription of Song Dynasty, the diameter of the character is about two feet, it is said that it is the place for Huairang to grind the mirror.
