Zhusheng Temple is situated in the southeast of the great shrine of Southern Mountain, which is one of the five Buddhism jungles.

The temple is so spectacular and magnificent, mainly including front hall, main hall, depository of Buddhist scriptures, abbot room, arhat hall, etc. Especially in the arhat hall, 5oo arhat images are engraved in the two walls, which were sculpted by a monk called Xinyue. This monk was good at stone sculpture. He got arhat copies form Tianning Temple in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Then he made his utmost to learn from the ancients continuously and experienced the reality. With his hard work, he finished sculpting these images in three years. These images are so true and vivid to life. They have distinct images different from each other. Some hunker, others expose their neck and shoulders, and still others hold Buddhist cane or broom. They look ahead, or ponder bowing their heads, either lying or standing. Their expressions are also very lively. Some laugh or cry, and others are angry or happy. From their faces and movements, it can be seen that these sculptures are so natural and elaborate, which are high praised by the people in the Buddhist and art fields.
