Southern Gate of Heaven has an eighteen Chinese miles distance from Southern Mountain Town, from the back of Southern Mountain Temple, walking up in the zigzag way along the mountain circling road, passing the Banshan Pavilion (halfway mountainside pavilion), not too far after passing Yehou College, you will arrived at Southern Gate of Heaven with the murky cloud and fog hanging over it.
 
Under the Southern Gate of Heaven, there is the Wolong Stone (dragon crouching stone) with the shape of ship, namely the flied-over ship with the background of flowing cloud, it seems that the ship is driving the wind and marching on in the billow of the cloud sea. And the stone torii of Southern Gate of Heaven is just a highly erected backstay. The torii has the division of the middle gate, and left gate and the right gate, on the horizontal plaque of the middle gate, engraves three big red scribing Chinese characters “Nan Tianmen (Southern Gate of Heaven)”, on the left and right horizontal plaque engraves “Xingyun (flowing cloud)”, “Shiyu (falling rain)”, the trance of handwriting is straight and eye-catching.

Zhurong Palace is on the top of Zhuhrong Peak. This palace gets its name to offer sacrifices to the ancient gentleman, Zhu Rong.

Zhurong Palace is built on the summit of Zhurong Peak, with its back leaning on the cliff and its front against the mountain. A towering torii serves as the gate. In the middle tablet inscribed “Zhurong Peak”, and on the couplets, it is written as follows, “To watch the sunrise in the dawn; how steepy and beautiful it is”. At the gate, there are over 30 arduous stone steps leading down. A stone road slants out. Several stone steps are built where it is rugged. Then it reaches the peak ridge with another 100m more or less. Overlooking at the gate, you will see that it is so wide on the sides, and that in the front, the masses climbing up and down jostle each other in the crowd on that stone road. Entering into the gate, you will see a dooryard with over 10m, a corridor in the western side, and several dorms in the east. The only main hall covers an area of about 100km. The palace almost bursts out with hundreds of people, the firecrackers, the bells and drums, the noises.

Gaotai Temple is located between the lion rock and Shangfeng Temple, which is situated under the beautiful Biluo Peak, because of being built on the rock platform in the elevation of one thousand meters; it is called as the Gaotai Temple (the High Platform Temple).
 
Under the Gaotai Temple, there is Goddess of Mercy Rock, which is piled up with the megalith, there are a lot of inscriptions and the engraved character on the cliff around. The on the megalith on top of the rock, inscribes the words of “the giant stone” and “the nest of big crane”.
 
The position of Gaotai Temple is on the summit of Mountain Gaohan, where there are multiplies of rocks, strong wind, and long icy period, therefore it is difficult for the trees to grow up to wood. While on the right hillside of Biluo Peak at the back side of temple, there are five green and luxuriant ancient pine trees with abundant vitality, including which there are three especially high trees, namely Nian'an pine, which is with interlocked branches, vigorous and straight. On the empty lawn of the left side of Gaotai Temple, there is a pavilion which is built with octagon granite, called Kaiyun Pavilion. It is for the commemoration of a grand event of literary giant Han Yu in Tang Dynasty, when he visited Mountain Hengshan, his heart with absolute sincerity can make the cloud of Mountain Hengshan open.

The Immortals Meeting Bridge, the popular name is heart test bridge, and it is also called the immortal bridge, it is located at the Sapphire Platform on the summit of Zhurong Peak. The base of platform is a piece of smooth big rock, which can accommodate dozens of people. Under the rock, there are two stones, one is big, and the other is small, the small one is only half of the big one, between them, there is a stone bridge for going across, the bridge is extremely dangerous and narrow, which only bears the step, in case of many people, they dare not to go across it, therefore it is also named as heart test bridge. According to the Taoism words, Sapphire Platform is created by Wu Qingyun, which is the twenty-fourth paradise; it is named because it is the place for the meeting of numerous immortals. When stands on the Immortals Meeting Bridge, you can also see a giant stone on one side of Zhurong Peak, which just like a turtle, people always call it as “the golden tortoise making a pilgrimage”.

Shangfeng Temple is situated at the highest peak of Mountain Hengshan——the side of Zhurong Peak. It is located at the high and cold mountainous area, which is completely with stone wall and iron tiles. As for its architectural layout, under the entrance of mountain, there is the granite torii, on the torri, it is engraved with three characters the white marble on the plaque “Shangfeng Temple”, and there is the carved stone inscription on both sides: “The mark of the holy cloth of southern China, all of the immigrating people in Jianghan admire it altogether; The mountain god blesses the grand prosperous sacrifice, the ancient Buddha of Western Paradise share the fragrance of the joss of burning sticks altogether”. The elevation of temple is more than one thousand meters, being in the temple, you will feel like being in the palace of the heaven. On one side of the temple, there is the Lei Pool (the Thunder Pool). Each year of the period that the excited insects awaken, the wind and rain suddenly encounters with the thunderclap hovering over it, the insects experience the ecdysis with the falling the shell, that is why the Yuhua Pond (the emergence pond) has its name.
