Xiao Gun Zhong Kou (Small Rolling Bell Opening of Mountain Helan) is located to the west of Yinchuan, about 25 km from the city. Early in the age of the Western Xia Dynasty, it was already a famous tourism place. The buildings of imperial palaces for residence in summer have a total length of 10 km. The pavilions, towers, high buildings and pavilions scattered here and there, increase the beauty of this place. The buildings such as “Laojun Hall”, “Yuwang Platform”, “Wancui Pavilion” and etc help people to imagine the glory of the Western Xia Dynasty. There are many wonderful sights, such as “Bi Jia Shan (Pen-holding Hill)”, “Yingtao Gou (Cherry Gully)”, “Qing Yang Tiao Jian (wild goat jumping over the stream)” and etc. At the top of the Mountains, you can see the “Buddha Light of Helan” just similar to the “precious Light of Ermei (a famous mountain in Sichuan province)”. The green grass and trees, and running streams make people feel very pleasant. Especially in summer, with the mild wind gently bringing in the cool and blow the heat away, it is a nice place for tourism and summer residence.

Chengtiansi Pagoda in Yinchuan, popularly named as Xi (west) Pagoda, was built in 1050 A.D.. This pagoda stands erect in Yinchuan, and far apart facing the Bei Pagoda. It is octagon in shape and has thirteen storeys, a total height of 64.5m. On the top of the pagoda, all the pleasing scenery of the Yinchuan can be caught by sight. According to the historical record, Buddhism prevailed for a time during the Western Xia Dynasty period. When the 1st emperor of the Western Xia Dynasty, Yuan Hao died, his son, only one-year-old then, had to take his place. In order to bless the young emperor Yi Zong with an eternal life, the empress dowager ordered to have this Buddhist pagoda built, and called it Chengtian (to obtain the heaven's blessing). This pagoda was built in a temple with a beautiful garden. When the mild wind is blowing, the small bells on corners of the pagoda begin to ring. Accompanied by the bell and drum of the temple in the morning and evening, they create the tranquil atmosphere. As the Huguosi Temple in Wuwei and Wofosi Temple in Changye of Gansu Province, Chengtiansi Pagoda became the representative holy land of Buddhism in the Western Xia Dynasty.
