| | Mountain Longqi Nature Reserve [edit this] | | Mountain Longqi Nature Reserve is a national nature reserve located in the border between Jiangle County and Mingxi County in the northwestern part of Fujian Province. The nature reserve covers an area of 63.85 square kilometers and its main peak boasts 1,624 meters, which is the highest peak in Jiangle County.
Boasting approximately 60,000 mu primitive forest, Mountain Longqi Nature Reserve is a rare natural botanical garden with unique characteristics in China. There are 7 vegetation types, 24 associations, more than 130 families, and nearly 300 tree species. | Longevity Rock Cultural Ruins [edit this] | | Longevity Rock Cultural Ruins is a national key cultural relics protection unit located to the northeast of Bendian, Yanqian Town of Sanming City. It is a group of lime rock caves. The Paleolithic Age culture is buried in Lingfeng Cave and Chuanfan Cave. The ruin covers a total area of 1,200 square meters with an excavation area of 400 square meters. The manually paved stone ground traced back about 20,000 years ago and discovered in the bottom layer of Chuanfan Cave is the first of its kind in China and is rarely seen in the whole world. Totally, more than 800 stone wares, a small amount of bone and horn objects and over 20 animal fossils with a history of 180,000 years or 1-3 years have been unearthed There are ruins of ancient human activity as well as diversified historical, human and natural karst topography in the Longevity Rock. | Edit by: Dorothy | |
| Linying Stone Forest [edit this] | | Like Peach Spring Cave, Linying Stone Forest is also a national-level AAAA-grade and key tourist resort and a geopark in China. It situated in the boundary of Dahu (Great Lake) Town, northwest and 13 km away from the downtown of Yong'an City.
The total area of Linying Stone Forest is 1.85 km2, comprised by several scenic spots as Linying Stone Forest, Hongyunshan Stone Forest and Eighteen Caves and so on, which are featured by their more than 400 stone sprouts, awls, posts and shoots, with the highest one in 36 meters. On one hand the name Linying (lin means scale; ying means hiding) derives from the scale-like appearance of stone sprouts, while on the other hand, it is because that Linying’s landform is deep concave and covered by the flourishing plants that kept it from being discovered until Yongzhen period of Qing Dynasty when it was found and constructed.

| Anzhen Fort [edit this] | | Anzhen Fort is a large-size residents building rarely found in Fujian Province, one of the best preserved ancient ram-stone buildings (local fort) in Fujian as well. It is praised as the living fossil of Chinese ancient building and the Treasure in the Middle of Fujian Province due to its elaborate architecture design style of Qing Dynasty.
Started from 1885 in the eleventh year of Guanxu Period of Qing Dynasty, the local country gentlemen Chi Zhangrui and Chi Liangguan, the father and the son, dedicated their thousands of wealth and spent 14 years building-up the Anzhen Fort. It covers the area of 10,000 m2 including 6,000 m2 of building area, locating on the west and facing the east. In each fort, eaves, doors, windows, footing of posts, arches, beams and purlins of the fort, you will see carvings, colorful paintings, clay statuses and frescos as well as many story carvings derived from the traditional Chinese novels of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, A Monkey's Story, One hundred and eight men in Nanmu (one kind of Chinese ancient wood) of various halls, implying the high-level architecture skills and wisdoms of local people at that time.
