| | The Peach Garden [edit this] | | Nanguo Peach Garden is located in Nanhai Songgang, 12 kilometers from Guangzhou and Foshan.

| Zumiao Temple [edit this] | | The Zumiao Temple is located in Chancheng District proper of Guangdong Province, which was built in 1078-1085 for offering sacrifice to Northern Xuantian Emperor, so it was called “Northern Emperor Temple”. The original building was destroyed in the end of Yuan Dynasty and was rebuilt in 1372. As it “experienced long history and is the first of temples in Foshan”, so it was called “Ancestor Temple”. In 1962 it was determined as the Guangdong Provincial Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit, under administration of Foshan Municipal Museum.
The temple has a floorage of 3,500 square meters, consisted of Wanfu Platform, Lingying Memorial Archway, Jinxiang Pool, Bell-Drum Tower, Sanmen, Ante Temple, Main Temple, and Qingzhen Tower. Before establishment of local administrative organization in Qing Dynasty, it was the place for discussing official businesses, which was different from general temples. Its buildings and even the decorations and fumishings were contributed by various industries, which were mainly locally produced. Foshan is a historically famous for casting and ceramic making, with the products presented in the temple. The workmanship of the buildings reflect the prosperity of ancient Foshan. The machinery planted flowers such as the Hundred Day Plant, Everlasting Daisy, Daffodil of He Clan, Heavenly Guest, and all-season Crab apple form a gorgeous rainbow in the field. The Purple Bamboo Attic Tree Root Sculpture Art Gallery attracts overseas leisure-seeking tourists to its unique tree root sculpture, antique craftmanship research and bamboo culture, tea culture and garden designing. The Exotic Rocks Gallery has storage of over 15,000 rocks, some of which have won several awards at the Kunming World Fair. At present, the biggest malachite is on show in the gallery. Rocks here are vivid resembling pieces of nearly all the objects in the universe: some take the shape of valleys, ridges and peaks, human figures, Chinese characters, birds and beasts. Daming Hall Art Gallery, a famous private art gallery has a full display of rocks culture, personal calligraphy, pottery craftwork, fumiture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and a tree root sculpture workshop. It is in this small gallery of about 1,000 cm2 that hundreds of different and strange rocks are exhibited, the average items are priced at a thousand to 10 thousand Yuan. Some rocks are worth nearly a million Yuan. The huge modern flower markets have numerous miniature trees, exotic flowers and rare plants and a full variety of delicate natural rocks that tempt tourists to purchase them despite their high prices. | The Lotus World [edit this] | | The Lotus World is presently the biggest show with the richest lily variety, and the most advanced cultivating technologies in the world. It occupies an area of more than 1,200 Mu (about 80,000 square meters), two thirds of which are water. The park is divided into nine function areas—the Culture Plaza, the center area, the viewing area, the entertainment area, the King Lotus Area, the Pond Lily Area, the Research and Development Area and the Seed Area. In the park, there are approximately 300 varieties of lily, including rare breeds such as the Space Lotus and the Ancient Lotus. The Grand Lotus Show is an ecological base of research and production. However it is a place of entertainment with many rich and colorful amusement activities. The various Lotus of the park are not only a pleasure to look at but also tempt the tastebuds. Since its opening in July, 2000, the Grand Lotus Show has received more than 1,000,000 tourists. | Nanfeng Ancient Kiln [edit this] | | Nanfeng Ancient Furnace was built in 1506-1521, a rare furnace with a history of more than 400 years that is still in use for making ceramics. Nowadays it is the Guangdong Key Cultural Relic Unit. According to the historical record, Foshan ceramic base formed in Tang and Song Dynasties, which reached its peak in Ming and Qing Dynasties. “The ceramic products of Shiwan are popular in Guangdong and Guangxi as well as in other areas”, which had won the reputation of “Shiwan tile is the best in the world”. The mouth of Nanfeng Furnace is toward the south. At the back of the furnace, there were many banyan trees, which brought cool wind in summer, so the furnace was called “Nanfeng Furnace”.
