Located between Minzu Dadao and Dongge Lu in downtown Nanning, the Great Hall of the People of Guangxi serves as the conference hall of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the political center of Guangxi. Completed in 1996, the Great Hall is 60 meters high and has a building area of 50,000 square meters. In front of the gate of the hall stand 12 round granite pillars, which symbolize the 12 united ethnic groups inhabiting harmoniously in Guangxi. And lodged in the hall is the precious gift sent by the delegation from the Central Government at the 40th founding anniversary of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The Great Hall has 15 conference halls for the prefectures and cities in Guangxi and one for the Liberation Army stationed in Guangxi, each hall representing its own glorious history and culture.

Tao's Mansion

The Tao's Mansion is located at 37 Hedi Yijie, Nanning City. It was built during the Republic of China, when Tao Shaoqin, a native of Yulin, came back from Germany and served as director of Guangxi Bureau of Minerals of Kuomintang government. The mansion blended the styles of Chinese and western European architecture and is the only private residential property with such a style in Nanning now. In 2002, it was listed as city-level protection of historical relics.

The Beiqiu Site of Mountain Dingshi

Located by the right side of Yongjiang River in Yongning County, the Beiqiu Site of Mountain Dingshi is a site of ancient human of the new stone age, which has existed 5,000 years ago. The oval mountain stretches from south to north and goes upward from west to east, covering an area of about 4,000 square meters. The site was listed as one of 1997's 10 Greatest Archaeological Discoveries in China and one of the large-scale national historical site displaying centers. Famous archaeologists at home and abroad are enchanted by this particular pre-historic culture, represented by the peculiar dismembering, flexed burial, complete earthenware and clearly-layered cultural array, whose connotation, significance and scientific value can rival the Banpo Museum in Xi'an and Hemudu Museum in the lower reach of the Yangtze River.

Spirit Water Lake

The Spirit Water Lake is one of the three biggest lakes with a constant temperature. It occupies an area of 29,300 square meters and is one kilometer in girth and two to three meters deep. The lake is also a spring lake with nine springs gushing out from the lakebed. The water is so clean and clear that you can see the bottom of the lake, and the temperature is unchangeable all year round remaining at about 23oC (73.4oF). It is warm in winter but cool in summer. Whether there is a flood or a drought, the spring never dies out. It is a perfect place for swimming and cooling off during the summer.

Shanli Yangdu Scenic District

Shanli Yangdu Scenic District is in Shanli town, 29 kilometers away from Shanglin County. This is a plain that is full of idyllic style, traditional culture and historical lengends. The local government of Shanglin County has decided to set up a natural green district for the purpose of environmental protection. Farmers will use feed or fertilizer with environmental protectioin effection.

Yangdu Scenic District enjoys the name of “little Guilin”. There are bueatiful green mountains and clear water, fantastic limestone caves and also famous stone tablets carved in Tang Dynasty. Xu Xiake, the adventurer in Ming Dynasty, once visited Yangdu for 50 days and writed a touring daily of 10,000 words.
