Lianghu Guild Hall

  [edit this]

Located at 38—40 Jiefang Lu, Nanning City, Lianghu (Hunan & Hubei) Guild Hall was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty and so named because the building was co-funded by the visiting businessmen in Nanning from both of the provinces of Hunan and Hubei. It is laid out from east to southwest. The Guild Hall is a triple compartment architectural complex with separate gates for each compartment, namely the front, the middle and the back, each compartment joined by a patio and each set having three rooms. The whole guild hall covers an area of 697.5 square meters, in a style of 15.5 meters times 45 meters. The front and the middle compartments have been renovated and the main structure of the back compartment is well preserved. Its beam columns and other parts reflect the typical architecture style in the south in the mid-Qing Dynasty. In 2001, it was listed as city-level protection of historical relics.
