Yongzhou, located in the south of Hu'nan Province and upper reaches of Xiang River, gained the name of “Xiaoxiang”, where Xiang River and Xiao River meet here. Yongzhou, a famous historical and cultural city of Hu'nan, attracting distinguished stele forest of South China, is located in the east, 50km distance to Yongzhou.

The major scenic spots here inclued Liuzi Temple, Yongzhou Confucius Temple, Wuxi Stele Forest of Mountain Jiuyi.
