China for me has been extremely eye opening. Having only been to Xi'an and Beijing so far, the experience has been amazing. Everything here is so different, it makes you appreciate more cultures. However, one has to appreciate western benefits as, many a time, most of the group has yearned for home comforts.
The city centres are full of Chinese history, yet the rural areas seem untouched and beautiful. The food, however nice it is, is very different to UK food. We are used to having Chinese food once in a blue moon at home, yet people have gotten sick of it over here, having eaten it so much.
The highlight so far has been simply just moving about the cities seeing the daily hustle and bustle and how different it is to the UK.
All that said I am yet to see Chengdu and Shanghai, which are the two main places I wanted to see. China is incredible.
