The local people always make bamboo into tube-shaped basket, which is on back to bear tools for work or living. The basket varies in size and making for different usage. The one for working is big, rough but enduring, while the smaller one is more delicate and elegant. The one for firewood was made of thick bamboo, the one for washing clothes is made of thinner one, and the upper is bigger than the bottom, the one for wedding is much more elegant than the washing one, with red-painted, 3cm-width-rings in the middle part to show celebration. The fine bamboo, the particular designs show the bride's skill and cleverness. The one for bearing child is chair-shaped and made of mao bamboo with cloth-made suspenders. | Edit by: ch | |
