Yuetuo Island is a sandy island in the Bohai Sea Gulf southwest of Laoting County Seat covering 0.43 square kilometers. Its name comes from its shape of a crooked moon.

This islsnd is 4.8 kilometers long from the seashore across the sea. On this island grow thick bush, fresh flowers and wild fruits, all radiating fragrance. The natural environment here has been almost closed to the public, leaving it undisturbed and untouched. More than 10 thousand birds perch and breed here. There are hundreds of varietiesof birds. Seagulls, vultures, white storks and black storks fly in the clear sky; ducks swim leisurely on the water. Four lines of verse depict its beautiful scenery.

On Yuetuo Island full of Dutch colours and styles, an ecological tourist and holiday center is under way.

Located at Shangguan Village, Malanyu Town, Zunhua City, the Shangguan Lake was named Shangguan Reservoir 24 kilometers from Zunhua City.

In this scenic area green mountains, clear water and grotesque-shaped rocks make a different sight. In the lake there is a small island covering an area of 30,000 square meters. The Cockscomb-Shaped Hill on the island, Double-Breast Hill and Black Water Valley form a natural sight. Small scenic spots like Clever Tortoise Island, Tortoise Fairy Hole, Sky-Supporting Rock, Island in the Lake, Male and Female Urn, Heavenly Book Hill, Fairy Girl in the Mirror and others appeal to your eyes.

According to General Records of Zunhua County, in the 17th fall of the reign of Emperor Kangxi, he toured here and blurted out one poem:

Waterfalls falling along the cliff must be certain.

Cold trees and clouds shroud the sky like a curtain.

North of the Great Wall simple customs are clear.

For many years prestige and virtue have been here.

Legend says that the Ming General Qi Jiguang was once here on his tour and composed some poems.

Located in Tangquan Town, Zunhua County, this Resort covers an area of 12.4 square kilometers. Its name comes from the spring water boiling all year round.

The tangquan spring pool was made ot huge stones. Water in winter changes into steam like clouds floating around. When it is fine and bright, you can see the sun reflecting in the spring water. This is one of the eight scenic spots in the East Qing Tombs. In spring and autumn, the water is so clear that the bottom of the pond can be seen. Countiess water bubbles come up like strings and strings of pearls. If you throw one coin into it, it will loop the loops many times slowly to the bottom. It is realiy a rare sight.

The water temperature in Tangquan reaches 62 to 68 ℃. It contains 14 trace elements like fluorine, sulfur and other minerals good for one's body. It enioys the reputation of “No.l Spring East of Beiiing”. From the Tang Dynasty, it was a bathing place for royal members. Emperor Li Shimin bathed here to treat his illness. According to his decree, Fuquan Temple and Fuquan Hotel were built. Queen Xiao in Liao State often came here when she went out inspecting and hunting in winter. She had the Shuzhuang Building completed. The Ming Emperor Wuzong stayed here on his hunting tour and had Goddess of Mercy Hall (with an alternative name Fuquan Temple) built. Jizhen General Qi Jiguang in the Ming Dynasty had Liubei Pavilion and the general pool of the hot spring built. He also had a 6-edged stone pillar built, recording something about Tangquan. On the ground floor of Liubei Pavilion were carved some winding streams with water flowing in them. If you put your goblet in the streams, it will be warm in an instant. Thus this pavilion is also called Zhuanbei Pavilion, an ideal place for scholars to compose poems. After the Qing Dynasty chose Beijing as its capital, the Qing emperors Shunzhi and Kangxi had these hot springs developed, leaving here many buildings and wonderful legends.

Tangshan enjoys the reputation of “North Porcelain Capital”. Every September, China's Porcelain Exposition is held in Tangshan where famous and fine porcelains of China will be displayed. If you come here at this time, you can see delicate porcelains and buy some at a good price. Tangshan Porcelain Exhibition Hall is the largest one with 9,000 porcelains in north China, covering an area of l,000 square meters. Daily porcelains like famous brands of Rose, White Jade, Magnolia denudata and others are popular. Artistic porcelains of iron oxide red goid circles with crystal glaze are quite unique. Here are precious porcelains in memory of the returns of Hong Kong and Macao. After seeing these rare porcelains, you can go to a porcelain factory nearby to take a look at production line and productive technology and get more understanding of porcelain.

Located at Houjiazhai Town northeast of Zunhua, Mountain Jiufeng is famous for its well-known mountain, old temples, strange trees, odd-shaped rocks, steep cliffs and narrow Great Wall. Well-known mountain means that the 15th of the 18 Arhats once stayed here to practice Buddhist doctrines. Old temple means Qiyun Temple, which was rebuilt in the Tang Dynasty and renovated in the Liao State. Strange trees include “Twin Pine”, “Pine by Rock” and “High Ginkgo”. Odd-shaped rocks include “Eagle Facing Tortoise”, “Tree and Monkey Bowing to Buddha” and “Flying Rock”. Steep cliff means that a Buddhist monk jumped off this cliff to become a Buddha. Narrow Great Wall means the narrowest section of the Great Wall built by the Yan State is only 70 centimeters Wide.

In ancient times, Mountain Jiufeng was called Mountain Three Terraces, made up of Front Terrace, Middle Terrace (Jumping Terrace) and Back Terrace (Jiufeng Range) where Qiyun Temple stands. In it stands Buddhist statues of 18 Buddhist Arhats, Sakyamuni, Avalokitesvara and so on. At the foot of the cliff there is a small temple on the upper part of the right of Qiyun Temple. It was built for Master Huineng who jumped off the cliff to become a Buddha.

Legend says a master and his two students practiced in Qiyun Temple. Huineng, one of the students, was virtuous and pious to Sakayamuni. One day, his master and fellow student were going out to beg because there was no food in the temple. He asked his master, “What am I going to eat after you leave?” His master got angry and said rashly, “You may burn your legs and boil rocks”. After the two had left, Huineng trusted his master and put rocks into the boiler. He lit wood sticks and burned his legs. Strangely his legs were still in a good condition, though the water was boiling. Fragrance came from the boiler, and the rocks had become delicious steamed buns. Coming back, his master asked him what it was about. Huineng told him the truth. Of course his master didn't believe him and tasted them, the result being that two of his teeth were hit and fell off. Quite angry, he chased after Huineng to the top of Middle Terrace. Huineng raised his eyes and saw a lotus flower floating toward him. So he jumped down and only a pair of shoes were left. Later people also called Middle Terrace Jumping Terrace, and built a temple in memory of him.

Warm-hearted people in Mountain Jiufeng hold the Red Maple Leaves Festival every October, when you enjoy the scene of “ Forested maple leaves look much redder than spring flowers”.
